BOXING TRAINING at VENTURA KO BOXING CLUB

At Ventura KO Boxing Club we are committed to providing you with a challenging and carefully formulated workout. Ventura KO Boxing is not an aerobics class. We teach you all the fundamentals of boxing. One-on-one training sessions are geared for men, women and children to promote fitness, strength, weight loss and toning. We work with the beginning boxer just starting out, all the way to the advanced boxer preparing for a fight.

A one-time $20.00 registration fee is due on the first day of instruction. All boxing equipment is available at our gym. We sell the best equipment such as Everlast, Title, Grant, and Ringside!

So if you are prepared for a challenging workout, come in and experience boxing the way it should be, and prepare to train just like the pros!

Come in and see the IBF and WBC World Championship belts on display! Keep in mind that our training is tough, but nothing in life comes easy. You only fail when you fail to try.

Internships/Scholarships

Ventura KO Boxing is an exercise, fitness, lifestyle, facility which revolves around boxing,. Ventura KO Boxing is committed to offering members advanced conditioning strategies to help them achieve their personal health and fitness goals at affordable prices.

Ventura KO Boxing will offer opportunities to students interested in exercise, health and fitness and self discipline to achieve success in whatever goals they may have. Interns will be able to learn and put their skills to work in activities, including marketing, advertising, public relations, bookkeeping and business administration. Scholarships will be available and interns must achieve a high GPA to participate in individually designed programs. All Intern positions are unpaid.

Community Outreach

At Ventura KO Boxing, we believe it is important to give back to our communities. The reality is that we live in a time when personal safety is of utmost concern. Our classes strive to improve our members' ability to defend themselves in critical situations; however, we believe it is important to offer additional resources to the women in the Ventura County area. Our Community Outreach program provides intensive self-defense classes for women -- free of charge. It is remarkable how much one can learn in just four hours. If you would like to schedule a training session for your yourself or a group of individuals please contact Ernie Gutierrez.

Our self-defense session will:

• Assist in developing a sense of awareness that may help students
  avoid dangerous situations.
• Teach students how to react during situations that are dangerous.
• Help students to fight back if they choose to and protect themselves
  against an attacker, even if they are larger or stronger.
• Teach students to avoid becoming victims.

BOXING KNOCK OUT NEWS

The USA Sanctioned Boxing Event held at Anacapa Middle School was a complete success! We had 15 Boxing Matches. 2 of those matches were female matches.

In attendance was None other than Joe Chavez, who is the cutman for Oscar De La Hoya. Also in attendance were the KO4girls.org who sent 5 beautiful women who are all Boxers. They will be having an all womens boxing event in Hollywood on Tuesday, June 24th. Also on hand was two time world champion Bobby Chacon. Bobby jumped into the ring when he was announced and began throwing a flurry of punches. Not bad for the former two time world champ.

I would like to take this time to thank everyone who participated in this event. Special thanks goes to Dr. Javier Orozco, Dick Jones, Ben Lira, Don and Melinda Bower, Mr and Mrs Ron Kenney, Karen, Arlene, Irene, Ernie, Ginger, Danny, Hank, Ian, Carlos and Ringgirl Angela.
